Introduction:
Personally i am loving the Diamond is Unbreakable Anime - i am not saying it is perfect by any means, honestly i would say that it has a few problems including cutting great moments and inconsistent animation but as an adaption of my second favorite arc of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure i personally feel like it’s doing justice to it and it order to celebrate JoJo’s greatness how about a take a look at one of my favourite characters in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and the main protagonist of Part 4 - Diamond is Unbreakable, Josuke Higashikata. I will be looking over his feats and abilities as well as suggest potential matchups for him.Now that’s out of the way - My Name is The Gaming News Guy and today on Death Analysis it’s time to take a look at to see what Josuke Higashikata brings to DEATH BATTLE. Also thank you to LSwan and Lousy for getting me into the series and Weaboss for his high quality JoJo footage which i will be using in the Analysis. Also there will be Spoilers for Part 4 up to the end.

Bio/Backstory:
Josuke Higashikata is the bastard child of Joseph Joestar (Who is the main protagonist of JoJo Part 2: Battle Tendency) and a Japanese Woman by the name of Tomoko Higashikata (Whom Joseph had an affair with). Josuke despite having no father figure grew up a relatively normal child. However, during the events of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders Josuke developed his Stand. The reason for this is that is that the main villain of part 3 - DIO pierced himself with the Arrow that Grants Stands, Josuke, having Joestar Blood that runs in Jonathan's body, develops a Stand but due to being just a child and being too weak to control his new power - suffers a fever not unlike that of his half-sister Holy Kujo. He is then saved by a high school student with a pompadour who throws his coat under his mother's car in order to allow their car to plow through the snow. This then inspires Josuke's admiration for the man with the pompadour and protect his town against those who would destroy it. On an April afternoon in the year of 1999, Josuke is confronted by Jotaro Kujo, the protagonist of Stardust Crusaders (Holly’s Son).The man then reveals himself to be Josuke's nephew. Josuke was in fact the product of an illegitimate affair. Josuke takes it fairly well but gets angry when one of his two triggers gets triggered by Jotes - he insulted his hair which causes Josuke to attack Jotaro in a fit of rage with his awakened Stand - Stand Crazy Diamond. Josuke’s Crazy Diamond has the speed and power to match Jotaro’s Star Platinum but thanks to Time Stop, Jotaro gets a hit on him. After Josuke calms down he proceeds to tell Josuke about the second reason he had come to Morioh: an evil killer named Anjuro is on the loose and that Anjuro posses a Stand (Later revealed to be Aqua Necklace). During this time he meets his best friend Koichi Hiorse. Eventually Josuke comes into contact with Anjuro stand but then Anjuro’s Stand kills Josuke’s Grandfather - Ryohei Higashikata. Eventually Josuke beats Aqua Necklace and fuses Anjuro to a rock - forever being unable to do anything. Josuke then encounters various Stand Users including the Nijimaru Brothers - Keicho Nijimaru and Okuyasu Nijimaru (whom after his defeat would become the best of bros with Josuke). After Keicho’s death by the hands of a mysterious stand - Josuke would fight many foes including the anti-social puppet master Toshikazu Hazamada, the wannabe rock-star who murdered Keicho - Akira Otoishi, The Manga Author Rohan Kishibe, A Stand using Rat and a greedy middle school Shigeiyo Yangu. Most of these pepole became allies besides the Rat and Akira. Josuke was living the good life but then someone happened that would not only affect him but the other Stand Users in Morioh - one of their own was killed. Shigeiyo Yangu encountered a Stand Using Serial Killer by the name of Yoshikage Kira and was called. Now Josuke with the helps of his friends has to hunt down Kira and bring him to justice - For this Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town the Chase is on, will Josuke be able to return to his Great Days - well watch the anime or read the manga to find out.
Personality:
Josuke is a fan favorite among the JoJo community for a reason - he is easily one of the most likeable characters in the series and is extremely confident and courageous teenager. He is extremely friendly and loyal, to his friends and due to his personality he finds it easy to make friends. His main trait is his kindness which is reflected in his Stand’s Ability to repair and heal. After a teenager with a pompadour saved him and his mom his desire to help others and his town grows. Josuke is not as violent as other JoJos and can even calmly tolerate bullying by upperclassmen or Shigechi's selfish acts but when his buttons are pushed he gets angry and i mean really angry. Josuke is often risking himself for others such as the time he saved Koichi after being hit by Keicho's Bow, and carrying Okuyasu's body during the final fight against Yoshikage Kira and Killer Queen. He protects Morioh from any Stand dangers that threaten it. Josuke is not perfect by any means - he has two buttons that went pushed can lead to him showing extreme bouts of anger - the first of course is insulting his hair (which you should never do) he will not be afraid to punch you in the face or give you a Crazy Diamond Style Beatdown. The Second is threatening his family or friends. For example Anjuro after killing Josuke’s grandfather suffered one of the worst fates in the series - being fused into a rock. He posses a trickster side like his father Joseph and is not above pulling dirty tricks or tricking someone in order to get some money (like the time he played a dick game with Rohan) and is known to be addicted to gambling which unfortunately for him leads to him losing a lot of money. He is great friends with Koichi,Okuyasu and Mikitaka,has a high deal of respect towards his nephew Jotaro and has a complicated relationship with Rohan. Overall Josuke is a great character and personally one of my favorites.
Non Stand Related Abilities:
Enhanced Human Strength - Due to being a Stand User - his physical stats are much higher than an average person. Josuke usually does not hit his enemies - rather relying more on Crazy Diamond to do the damage.
Enhanced Human Speed - Josuke can react to situations faster than the average human such as the time he reacted to a baby carriage while going 60km/h, using his Stand - Crazy Diamond to break apart a motorcycle and then repairing it and is able to catch up to a speeding bus that his father Joseph was one.
Enhanced Human Durability - Josuke is more durable than the average human able to tank hits from the likes of Star Platinum,Red Hot Chili Peppers and Killer Queen and manages to keep fighting in the final battle against Yoshikage Kira, even after being hit by several explosions and pierced by shrapnel
Intelligence - Josuke is extremely quick thinker and like his father Joseph is great at thinking on his feet and coming up with plans to escape impossible situations. When it comes to fighting he likes to use his immediate surroundings as well as utilizing his Stand Crazy Diamond to the fullest. Like Joseph he likes utilizing anything he has within reach for dealing with a dangerous situation. Josuke also is very skilled at reading his foe and likes to plan ahead in order to deal with any situation by looking at his opponent's behavior and habits and he has great detective skills. However, he is not perfect and when things don’t turn out his way and he is at a losing situation he can become unfocused and stressed but often manages to pull himself back up.However, should someone insult his hair - he will lose all relation thought and focus entirely on beating the foe up. Josuke is also a cunning smooth talker and is not above quite manipulating, lying and cheating others in order to get something - usually money.
Rules to a Stand:
For Those who don’t know Stands are invisible spirits manifested through the psychic energy/willpower of their users. Stands are only visible to those who possess them, and each one grants a unique set of abilities its user. For most stands any damage done to a stand will be done to the user for example if you hit Crazy Diamond in the arm then Josuke’s Arm would be damaged - it is stated that only stands can damage other stands. However, that doesn’t mean Josuke is invincible against non Stand Users. In general, the shorter the range a stand can move in, the more powerful it is.

Josuke’s Stand - Crazy Diamond:
This is Josuke’s Stand - Crazy Diamond and it is named after the Pink Floyd Song Shine On You Crazy Diamond.Crazy Diamond is a short range Stand, limited to a reach of around 2 meters from Josuke and has great physical power. It is a humanoid stand, with a powerful build and tall stature. In terms of looks - it is very similar to DIO’s The World.Its most common color scheme consists of a bubblegum pink interior and light blue or silver armor.

Superhuman Stats:
Super Strength - Crazy Diamond possesses immense physical strength, having been able to easily punch his mother. Crazy Diamond is also strong enough to easily dent steel beams and solid concrete. In terms of physical strength it is as strong if not stronger then Jotaro Kujo’s Star Platinum as it was able to break Star Platinum's Guard.Crazy Diamond is also strong enough to

Super Speed - Crazy Diamond’s Speed is Faster than Light as he is keep up with Star Platinum - one of the fastest stands in JoJo.Not only is it capable of surprising an on-guard and fully charged Red Hot Chili Pepper who is faster than the Speed of Light, Crazy Diamond can outpace other Stands such as Highway Star in close combat who’s speed is at the very least 60 km/h.Crazy Diamond is also fast enough to deflect hundreds of small bullets and missiles at close range.Josuke stats that Crazy Diamond’s strikes exceed 300 km/h.
Super Durability - Crazy Diamond is durable enough to Survives a barrage of blows from max power Red Hot Chili Pepper including one that breaks a forklift as well as durable enough to tank attacks from the likes of Star Platinum,Killer Queen and Red Hood Chilli Pepper. Crazy Diamond’s Durability is Multi City Block Level
Super Precision - Crazy Diamond effectively fire off a rifle bullet from its fingers up to 70 meters
Restoration:
What makes Crazy Diamond one of the most useful Stands in the series is its main ability which is Restoration. Basically what Crazy Diamond does is that it can restore or revert objects or organisms to any previous state in their history - think of any Medic Character like say the Medic from Team Fortress 2 only times by 50 . It can repair damage, heal injury and even revert chemical changes and complex structures to their raw (for example one time Josuke punched a plate of Spaghetti and it reverted into Tomatoes and Pasta). Josuke can use this ability in various ways. Josuke can easily punch through people and then restore them for example here and here - It may also fuse objects together, such a person with a rock like with Anjuro. Other feats include saving his his friend Okuyasu from Red Hot Chili Pepper by fixing his the arm that was severed by Red Hot Chill Pepper. Due to Josuke’s restoration ability - his body was restored. He also displayed plenty of skill with his restoration ability during his fight against Akira as he fixes a tire around Red Hood Chill Pepper in order to trap it which later would lead to the Stand’s Defeat. One of my personal feats is during his fight against Highway Star when he breaks a motorcycle in order to avoid a baby in a carriage and literally flew over the baby and then as he was tumbling to the ground used Crazy Diamond to fix the motorcycle. He can create barriers to block enemies and attacks for example he tore concrete out of a wall and then fixed it in order to prevent Highway Star from reaching him as well as blocking an air bomb with a shield of concrete. Josuke can even use Crazy Diamond to create a blade made out of his own blood to attack Yoshikage Kira. But that’s not even the most impressive part - he then decided to throw a glass of shard with his own blood - due to the fact that his blood was on him due to the blood cutter attack he managed to turn that shard of glass into a missile that hit Kira. If Restoration is used when Josuke is in a foul mood, its target may be warped, improperly restored (most likely due to lack of focus). While Crazy Diamond is a very powerful stand it has two main weaknesses that prevent it from becoming OP - Crazy Diamond cannot heal Josuke himself but he can use Crazy Diamond to heal himself in different ways such as removing Shrapnel nor restore life to an organism meaning once something is dead - there is no way CD can bring it back. Overall Crazy Diamond is a very powerful stand and personally one of my favorite Stands in the series.

- Is stated to be equal/stronger than Star Platinum as it is shown to physically overpower Star Platinum
- Is easily able to destroy brick with ease including walls.
- Crazy Diamond is strong enough to hurt Red Hot Chilli Pepper who has Multi-City Block Durability
- Crazy Diamond is strong enough to hurt Killer Queen who has Multi-City Block Durability
Speed Feats:
- Crazy Diamond’s Speed is Faster than Light.
- Is able to keep up with Star Platinum
- Crazy Diamond is also fast enough to deflect hundreds of small bullets at close range as shown with his fight against Keicho.
- Josuke states that Crazy Diamond’s strikes exceed 300 km/h.
- Breaks a car around himself as he flies towards it, then fixes it, trapping Highway Star. This was while Josuke was driving on a motorcycle at 60 km/h
- Managed to react to Hayato sacrificing himself and heal him complete despite Killer Queen’s bomb being instantaneous
Durability Feats:
- Survives a barrage of blows from max power Red Hot Chili Pepper including one that breaks a forklift
- Is able to tank attacks from Star Platinum who has Multi City Block Attack Potency.
- Is able to tank attack from Red Hood Chilli Pepper
- Got his lifeforce drained by Highway Star and yet still lived.
- Keeps on fighting Yoshikage Kira, even after being hit by several explosions and hit by shrapnel
Weaknesses:
Josuke is not perfect by any means. His main weakness is the fact that Crazy Diamond cannot heal Josuke and as such if he gets injured enough he will possibly die. Secondly Josuke is still human. If you caught him by surprise, you could very easily kill Josuke with a gun or a knife. Thirdly if Josuke’s hair or his family gets threatened he become extremely anger prone and loses all rational thought which while making his attacks stronger also means he is more likely to make mistakes and screw up. Faster Stands can get pass Crazy Diamond and cause significant damage to Josuke plus every hit that Crazy Diamond takes - Josuke will feel the full brunt of it.

Akihiko Sanada (Persona 3)
These two are known for healing. But they are also well known for using tactics, plans, calculations but when it gets down to it they will straight up punching the fuck outta their opponents and leave them beaten due to their strength.I am a personal fan of JoJo vs Persona fights and i personally like this fight.
Sakura Haruno (Naruto)
Healers, medics. Helping to support and heal their allies in their time of need and in the field of battle. It can be a dangerous job. But these two aren’t your typical medics - these two are both extremely hot-headed teenagers that not only focus on your healing abilities but they will also kick your ass.
Yang Xiao Long (RWBY)
This one probably won’t happen but i might as well mention it - both of these are very power focused fighters and are very protective of someone (Koichi for Josuke and Ruby for Yang). They both love their hair and if you mess their hair up then prepare for a world of hurt.
Yu Narukami (Persona)
This is my personal favorite one and the one i would like to see hope. They are both Teenagers who are searching for a Serial Killer with supernatural powers and they both recruit a group of individuals with similar powers to them in order to find the Serial Killer and they both live in small Japanese Towns. Considering Persona 4 was inspired by JoJo Part 4 it makes sense the protagonists of those parts face off.
Conclusion:
